>“The Bend in the Road” – Interactive CD for Lucy Maude Montgomery Institute (UPEI)
The Bend in the Road – The Life and Times of Lucy Maude Montgomery is a full interactive multimedia title with over 400 nodes of rich, cultural heritage from Prince Edward Island and is an integral part of the Canadian Mosaic. Anne of Green Gables is a story that, alone, has changed the lives of millions around the world. The CD captured the essence of “Maud’s” life and works with period music, pictures, illustrations, official historical content, and videos of original collections. And, interactive experiences to allow the viewer to walk through the life of a great Canadian literary and cultural icon. The CD won 6 awards, including a US Film and Video Festival Award for Creative Excellence in Educational Multimedia.

Imex was instrumental in taking a full title that did not have the expertise of a Multimedia Producer and, in only a couple months, successfully design, develop, test and complete the project. By marshalling the resources, creating proper design and project management, and programming the innovative meta-data engine that powered the product, Imex was able to do what other top professionals said couldn’t be done. The project came in on time and on budget and was recognized for its excellence not only in interactive multimedia and culture but given a stellar award by the AMTEC (the Associaion of Media and Technology in Education in Canada).
